My 2018 Goals

Happy New Year friends!

Can someone please explain to me how 2017 went by soooo fast? I feel like just yesterday I decided on my word of the year, and now here I am, trying to figure out how the heck I want to approach 2018.

I decided to come back this year instead of leaving my blog radio silent. In fact, I had this post ready for a few days now... Had to take a sick day from work to decide to come on here to actually publish it. But, this blog has been part of my life for so long, and I really wanted to give my blog a proper chance before parting ways. Besides, I did decide a few months ago that I was going to continue this for me. Even if the blogging-world has switched gears and went to a completely different directions... I just wanted this space for me.

So, with a new year beginning, why not set me some goals for myself. I know, it's such a cliche type of post, but hey, these were the types of posts I loved reading back when I first started my blog; therefore, these are the types of posts I will continue on my blog. Also, I just find that posting my goals makes me 100% accountable. And, this time around, I am more serious than I've ever been.

March Goals

MARCH. It is March, and on my goodness has it been forever since I've posted on here. I really have no excuses, it just poor time hanging on my end when it came to studying and writing assignments, AND actually taking the time to prepare and post on here. Enough of my endless apologies, let's get to my goals for the month!
P.S. Some of these goals might look familiar from previous posts, but thats because I need to obviously work on them again this month :)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This Month's Goals!
1. Stay ahead.
I like the way I am currently working when it comes to my assignments. I find myself not entirely waiting until the very last minute to work on them. Starting ahead of time, even if it is one little thing helps A LOT. Definitely going to keep up this momentum until the end of the year!
2. No credit card.
I must say, this goal is definitely harder than I initially assumed it would be. This month, I really need to make more of an effort to at least use it less - especially on food (can't really return that...). OH, and I really need to stop with online shopping -- this does not help with my credit card situation.
3. Post on here again.
I say post on here again because I was clearly absent in February. Like I said, a lot of things came up, and I didn't know how to manage everything. This month, doesn't seem too busy for school. The goal is to plan and PREPARE ahead of time; and perhaps even schedule the post! This should be fun because I have a lot of ideas for this month!
4. Re-watch Full House.
FULLER HOUSE is now on netflix!!! Obviously you knew that, everyone does. When I watched the first episode, I literally teared at the idea of how I grew up watching this show! And, all these nostalgic memories and feelings came out of nowhere. The first episode of Fuller House honestly felt like I was watching Full House for the first time again. So, I decided to re-watch all of Full House before actually finishing Fuller House! I mean, why not.
This is a legit goal. You have to agree with me on that..
5. Record, edit and post a video!
I don't usually make videos, especially for my blog. If anything, I record a lot of videos on snapchat -- but it is not the same. This month, the goal is to make at least one video. It could be about anything, and I think I already have an idea for my first video idea! So, hopefully this doesn't fall through :) :) :)
6. Hit the gym.
As of February, I can honestly say that I went to the gym at least twice a week. This month, I want to put more of an effort, and really focus on cardio. I wanna lose my tummy (the initial goal). But, my ultimate goal is to lose a healthy amount of weight for graduation, which is in June. So, I better get started.
Do you share some of the same goals as me?

February Goals!

February Goals!

Hey guys! So, it's already a new month.. so you already know what that means; a new set of goals! Or, if you me, carrying on the goals from the last month because you didn't complete them. The entire "new year, new me" is just words in my head... clearly.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This Month's Goals!

1. Do not procrastinate.
Now this goal includes everything in my life -- school, real life, and the blog. I really want to stop leaving things to last minute. I just physically cannot do it anymore, I'm not good at the whole all-nighter thing like I used to be back in high school. Like, I know it will be more beneficial and easier for me at the end if I just start things earlier.. so why haven't I??

2. Stop buying food.
I was looking at my bank transactions the other day, and really that I am constantly buying food. And, this seems to happen only when I'm on campus. Buying (expensive) food on campus actually accumulates, and I'm always left wondering what I spent my money on.... This month, I'm going to make more of an effort to pack food and snacks to school.

3. Really have to stop touching the credit card.
The credit card I mainly use is the one that is linked to my scene point -- you know, for every $1 you spend, you get 1 scene point that can go towards a free movie. I never really sat down and thought about, but in order to get that free movie, you would need 1000 points.... So, basically I have to spend $1000 for 1 free movie??? I'd rather pay the regular admission and buy large popcorn.

Anyways, enough about ranting; the point is, I really got to just leave my credit card at home. Not worth spending money... besides, I hardly go to the movies!!!

4. Make a vlog.
One of these days, I would like to make a vlog. I've watched my favourite youtubers do it, and some of the blogs I've been reading (shoutout to Je Suis Jessica) have tried it out as well. It seems fun! The only thing that really worries me is the holding the camera out and talking to myself in public, and editing the video. The goal is make 1 this month about me and my day, or something.

5. Have fun!
Although I've been crammed with a lot of school work, I'm forgetting that this is my last year at uni. I really should make the best of it. Who knows where I will off to next year -- a different school? a job? staying at home? (hopefully not). But, these are the years I'm going to remember; and I want to end it right by enjoying everything campus has to offer.

HAPPY NEW YEAR! + 2016 Goals

It just hit 12:00am! Do you know what that mean???? No really, do you???? You probably do, I'm just adding the hype for effect.....

It's a new year! So, Happy New Year to you all :)

And, before you think I am blog obsessed, no I am currently not sitting in front of my laptop posting this... common I'm not that silly. I actually wrote this post few hours ahead and scheduled it so that it would be posted the exact moment it turns 2015 here in Toronto! See, I guess one of my blogging goals are already coming into play ;)
Have no idea what I'm talking about?? Well, with it being a new year and all, of course, like in the past, I have a bunch of goals set for myself for 2016. Like I said last year, sharing my goals in public actually makes me more accountable for me keeping my word. So, hopefully it works this year, and hopefully 2016 will be a successful year for moi!
Like last year, I categorized my goals to make it more organized. That way, I know what goals I have for different aspects of my life.
2016 Goals:

Blogging Goals:
  • Blog consistently
  • Make blogging friends
  • Plan my posts ahead of time, and not the night before or day of
  • Keep my blog personal

  • Exercises consistently and regularly
  • Lost 40 lbs (by the end of the year)
  • Walk and take the stairs more
  • Sleep regularly!
School and CareerGoals:
  • GRADUATE THIS YEAR! (#almostdone)
  • Apply to Post-Grad programs AND get into accepted into post-grad
  • No only maintain my grades, but improve them
  • Join a club
  • STUDY ahead of time
  • Start looking for volunteer experience in the field of abnormal development

Personal Goals:
  • Stay positive
  • Get out of my comfort zone
  • Smile more
  • Take more photos of life
  • STOP BUYING SO MUCH COFFEE
  • Stop using my credit card
  • Write in my journal

I mean, this is just the gist of my goals. I'm sure as the days go by in 2016, I'll realize I have a lot more goals to add onto this list.

Happy New Year to all of you lovely bloggers, internet friends and all of your families! I hope 2016 will be great for you all! Let's start of the year positive and with some love!

Cheers, 2016! Let's do this!

November Goals

November already? Where have the days gone? I cannot believe how fast October went. I really need to live every moment and enjoy the days....
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This Month's Wishes

1.  DON'T TOUCH THE CREDIT CARD! I'm going to try this one again this month. Not touch my credit card. If I want to buy anything - it will be in cash. I don't want to live a life paying off my credit card. I just want to be able to buy what I can, without any worries. I think this is fair goal.

2. Research. Applications for grad school, and second entry programs will soon open up. I need to sit down, get my life together, and figure out where I am applying, and for what program. Lately, I've been thinking about leaving home this time around, a different city? a different province? maybe even a different country? I'm thinking about expanding.

3. Health and Fitness. This month I am going to continue to watch what I eat! and this month, I want to put more of an emphasis on exercising - whether it would be walking more or hitting the gym.

4. Be more productive with school work.  For the first 2 months of November, I literally have no tests to study for, or papers that are due. However, with that being said, on the third week of November, I am hit with 2 papers due on the same day, and a test on the next. So, the plan is to be productive and START (and even finish) the 2 papers ahead of time, so I have time for more editing and more studying.

5. Blog consistently. This month, I would like to blog at least 3 times a week. I think this is the best to consistently keep up with my blog, and school work at the same time. Blogging consistently also involves planning - whether that would be writing a list of what I want to blog about, and on what days, or literally write my posts ahead of time.

6. BE happy!  This is my birthday month... I am soon turning 21. I am both excited and scared. This month, not only do I want to live in the moment of everyday, but I want this month to be fully of happy memories. So, that means being happy everything, through my positive thoughts. So let the happy month begin!

What are your goals for November?

October Goals!

Hello, friends! Hello, October! Hello, fall! Hello, new friends! Hello, to everyone! Can't you tell I'm in a good mood? Well, I am! Okay, I think I really need to stop with the exclamation marks... but, any who, what better way to start off the month with some positivity? I mean, positive thinking leads to a positive life right?

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This Month's Wishes

1.  DON'T TOUCH THE CREDIT CARD! This is going to be a HUGE challenge. But, if I want to plan big for my 21st birthday next month, I need to save and not spend. I mean, I will touch the card to pay for gas... but, I think I'll stick to my debit instead of the credit card. Wish me luck!

2. Research. Applications for grad school, and second entry programs will soon open up. I need to sit down, get my life together, and figure out not only a plan, what schools I will be applying to.

3. Fitness. Zumba on Mondays is a definite motivator for me! I mean, how fun is that?! Also, this month because I do have to balance school, work, and blogging (yes, this is important!), I decided to balance out my work outs. Practically speaking, 3 days at the gym and doing walk/run around the neighbourhood. And, because I work like a 6 minute drive from home, I will walk to work at least once a week!

4. Get ahead in school work.  I think this should be a daily goal, and not just a monthly goal. I need to keep up with my school work, and ideally, just stay ahead if I can. It will make my life that much easier when tests are approaching, and I don't have to end up staying up the night before.

5. Blog consistently. In the past, I've made goal of blogging daily. I won't lie, this is actually hard, and just stresses me out if I miss a day. This month, I'm going to try a different strategy, blogging at least 3 times a week! Hopefully, this will help improve my blog content while giving me more time to edit and take better photos!

HAPPY NEW YEAR! + 2015 Goals!

HAPPY NEW YEAR! + 2015 Goals!

background image via
Happy New Year everyone! It is officially the first day of 2015 and I am just excited to see what this year has in store for me. 2014 was a pretty good year for me, and I am honestly hoping Newton's law doesn't come true for 2015 (what goes up, must come down). So, this year I will definitely be giving off a lot of positivity in hopes for more positivity to return my way!

In 2014, I found myself struggling with who I am as a person. I learnt new things about me, like what I was capable of doing. However, I also learnt new things that I was afraid of. It weird, 2014 has definitely been a learning process especially when it came to accepting who I am. This year, I will make it more about me rather than others. It is time to put the focus on me, and no more depending on others.

Last year, I wrote down a bunch of goals I wanted accomplish in 2014. This year, it will be no different. This year, I will again share the many goals I have set for myself for the upcoming year. By making it public, it is making me more accountable for what I said I will do. So, here are my goals for 2015:

Blog
  • Make more blogger friends
  • Attempt to comment more on others blogs
  • Co-Host a linkup
  • Reach 200 followers by the end of 2015
  • Create/design a new blog layout!
Career
  • Start to volunteer at hospitals/rehab centres
  • Ask questions to academic counsellor, instead of leaving them wondering in my thoughts
  • Build up references
  • Start looking at grad schools to apply for next year

Fitness and Health
  • Lose up to 40lbs
  • Exercise 4-5 times a week (even if it is just for an hour)
  • Eat healthier
  • Cut the fast food intake (including my favourite.. burgers and fries)
School
  • Raise my GPA to 3.7 on the 4.0 scale
  • Build relationships with my profs (like going to more office hours)
  • Use my agenda more often
  • Study ahead of time
  • NO MORE PROCRASTINATION
Personal
  • Put myself first
  • Sleep regularly and for a good 8 hours
  • Do things that make me happy
  • Work more and spend less
  • Work on myself - physically, emotionally, mentally
  • Learn to be happy with what I have
Okay, so as I was writing these goals, I realized that I probably should have written this post a few days ago... these are definitely not ALL my goals.. but you get the general idea! Happy New Year to you and your families! I hope 2015 will be just as good to you as 2014 was for me!
