#bedm - My Motivation Lately

I bet you were surprised to see my BIG face as you were scrolling down my blog. I'm kidding, I just think having my picture was appropriate for today's post. Today is the eighth day of the Blog Everyday in May Challenge hosted by the lovely Elizabeth from Rosalilium. This challenge is actually different, instead of a linkup where you provide a link to your post; you post the link on your twitter, and use the hashtag #BEDM to view other's post! I think this actually provides a wider traffic flow.
Today's topic is simply "motivation". Since the topic itself is broad enough, I decided to take the approach and talk about what has been motivating my life in a positive direction lately!

Penelope

I have honestly grown to love Penelope with all my heart. She is truly a keeper, and I had no idea that I would ever fall in love with her when I first got her. Miss Penelope is my best friend who makes me pay attention to the littlest of things when taking care of her. Because I love her so much, she motivates me to take good care of her just as I would take care of myself. She is my cuddliest and cutest pet I could have ever ask her, and she just motivates me to love all other animals, especially her!

Work

Work is kind of an odd motivation don't you think? Well... let me put it out there right away that money isn't my motivation. Work has actually taught me so much about myself - how I interact and work with others. Because work is filled with groups of energetic and outgoing individuals, who I might add are very sociable, has honestly taught me that I may not be the shy person that I originally thought I was. It was so easy to fit in and truly be me. Work actually motivates me to work hard with others, and by myself, to get the job done in the amount of time I have. Work also motivates me to be more positive around others I don't know, like smiling and saying hello to every customer that is around me!

My Sister

Family is always bring me up whenever I am down; but no one will get make a joke out of my miseries like my sister. Although she is never a good listener, and constantly complains about everything, she is still my little sister. Just he presence alone constantly motivates me to be the best sister I can for her. I always try to make sure I help her when it comes to school, although I don't know a lot, and I always try to be there for her when it comes to boy drama or family drama. She is my ultimate best friend where we have our ups and down; but it is amazing how much she motivates me to be the best sister ever. Why else did I randomly buy her a coach makeup bag the other day? I love her.

Jay

Jay is my best friend. Whether he likes to admit it or not, he actually likes to listen to me whenever I just talk about everything and anything. And quite frankly, I can talk for hours about a lot of things, and he is just a great listener and great at giving advice whenever I need help. Lately, he has been motivating me to be the best I can be; he's been motivating me to be happy and because of all his motivation, it is motivating to be a better person towards him. Sometimes, I can go on and on about my problems, I can sometimes forget to ask him how he is doing. He helps me to realize that there are others who are also in times of need, and it is great that he is demeaning, but rather encouraging. He is just the greatest!

What's been motivating you to live your life better lately? Let me know!

7 Bible Verses in Times of Stress

image via
I think it is safe to say that we ALL go through times of stress. Whether it is stressing over exams, boys/girls, friends, stupid drama... we all go through stress that can really shatter us into bits of pieces. I don't know about the rest of you, but whenever I feel stressed out of my mind, I tend to just keep to myself. I don't know how to explain to others what I am going through, so I often don't seek for comfort. And it can be frustrating to both myself and others, especially Jay. We all have someone in our lives who want to help and be there for us... but sometimes we just don't have the words to explain what the heck we are going through.

So today, I have gathered some of the greatest bible verses for times of stress. If you can't find the words to seek comfort in others, seek comfort in God.
7 Great Bible Verses for Stress
In my distress I call upon the LORD, Yes, I cried to my God; And from His temple He heard my voice, And my cry for help came into His ears. (2 Samuel 22:7)
And He said, "My presence shall go with you, and I will give you rest. (Exodus 33:14)
Cast your burden upon the LORD, and He will sustain you; He will never allow the righteous to be shaken. (Psalm 55:22)
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, shall guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6-7)
When I am afraid, I will put my trust in Thee. In God, whose word I praise, In God I have put my trust; I shall not be afraid. What can [mere] man do to me? (Psalm 56:3-4)
"Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD you God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you." (Deuteronomy 31:6)
Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight. (Proverbs 3:5-6)

#bedm - 6 Must-Have Hair Products

I love my hair. It honestly has that natural healthy look that everyone, including myself, just absolutely loves. So when it comes to hair products, I make sure I use what is best for my hair while making sure I don't spend a ton of money. Drugstores honestly have such great options when for hair products that will make you wonder why you ever bought that $100 shampoo in the first place.
Today's post are my 6 must-have hair products that you can purchase at any drugstore. They are inexpensive and do wonders to your hair! *Psst... they are all under $10 as well!
SHAMPOO AND CONDITIONER
I have always been a fan of Dove shampoo and condition, until I realize the oily look the new conditioner-moisturizer leaves just hours after I shower. It practically showers no evidence of me even washing my hair to begin with. So I switched to Aussie Moist Shampoo and Condition, and I have to honestly say that this duo keeps my hair moisturized and soft while looking absolutely flawless! This is definitely a must-have!
Aussi Moist Shampoo - $7.49                                                    Aussi Moist Conditioner - $7.49
DEEP CONDITIONING
Every couple of weeks, I treat my hair to deep conditioning. So because I fell in love with the Aussi Moist Shampoo and Conditioner, I had to try out another Aussi product. The Aussi 3 Minute Miracle Moist Deeeeep Conditioner absolutely does wonders beyond belief! I suggested it to my cousin, whose hair has gone through a lot of styling and hair dying, and this produce helped renew her that natural moisture.  This is definitely something you should try if your looking to deep condition your hair!
Aussi 3 Minute Miracle Moist Deeeeep Conditioner - $3.59
REPAIRING
Let's face it... we all go through times when our hair decides to just have split ends and you're first option is to just cut it off. Yes, that is an option, but I have another option for anyone looking to repair and prevent split ends while helping to strengthen damaged hair! Organix Repairing Awapuhi Ginder Instant Repair Mask instantly softens and mends dry hair! This produce can be used once a week to repair your hair resulting with hair that is soft, touchable, bouncy, and shiny from root to ends!
Organix Repairing Awapuhi Ginder Instant Repair Mask - $7.99
PROTECT
When it comes to styling my hair, I always worry about damaging it.  So when it comes to using heat tools to style your hair, using heat protectant is a must! I've been using Tresemme Thermal Creations Heat Tamer Protective Spray. The spray bottle itself is perfect for application; not giving out too much or too little with a delicious scent! This spray will help shield your hair from the damaging effects of heat styling!
Tresemme Thermal Creations Heat Tamer Protective Spray - $4.75
HAIRSPRAY
Most hairsprays leaves your hair feeling stiff, sticky, and smelling like toxins for hours! My absolutely favourite is the Dove's Style + Care Hairspray! Just like other hairsprays, it holds your hair  just as week BUT, leaves a soft and shiny looking (and feeling) to your hair! The best part, it leaves your hair smelling like vanilla and a floral scent!
Dove's Style + Care Hairspray - $4.89
DE-FRIZZ FINISHING CREAM
I have absolutely loved the John Frieda Frizz-Easy Secret Weapon Flawless Finishing Cream. Adding  a bit of product to your hands, and smooth it over the top of your hair, and ends and throughout does absolute wonders.
John Frieda Frizz-Easy Secret Weapon Flawless Finishing Cream - $6.59
What are some of your must have hair products? Leave a comment below for suggestions that I may have not mentioned here!

#bedm - Passion Project

Today is the sixth day of the Blog Everyday in May Challenge hosted by the lovely Elizabeth from Rosalilium. This challenge is actually different, instead of a linkup where you provide a link to your post; you post the link on your twitter, and use the hashtag #BEDM to view other's post! I think this actually provides a wider traffic flow.

Today's topic: Passion Projects - What do you love and would like to make money from. Think about entrepreneurial spirit.

I haven't blogged about it for a while, so a lot of you may not know that I absolutely love typography. I love creating designs/pictures/quotes or even recreating what other's have designed. I may not be the best at typography, but I love the escape from reality when I draw my designs by hand.
Like I said, I am not the best. But, with that being said, I personally do not mind how much I would make on the side for my designs. I started typography as a way to express my feelings through my creative side, there was no motivation for money whatsoever. I like to share my designs with others because it is just a great way for many to express their feelings when they hit the pin it button on Pinterest, or reblog button on tumblr.
Below is one of my Pinterest boards where I've uploaded a few of the many designs that I've created.

Follow Oulalanessaa's board MY DESIGNS on Pinterest.

Here is one of my latest creation that I have made; it was actually inspired by an instragram account that I've happen to pass through.

#bedm - My Weekend Routine

Today is the third day of the Blog Everyday in May Challenge hosted by the lovely Elizabeth from Rosalilium. This challenge is actually different, instead of a linkup where you provide a link to your post; you post the link on your twitter, and use the hashtag #BEDM to view other's post!
I didn't have time to participate yesterday since I had a hectic and long day at work, that when I came home, I just went straight to bed. I was beyond exhausted. Since I am not a fan of today's topic, I decided to blog yesterday's topic.
My weekend routine is fairly simple actually.
Saturday
My Saturday actually depends on whether or not I am scheduled to work at Winners. If I am, then I would wake up an hour before I am scheduled to work, (I'm usually scheduled around 9am) then leave 10 minutes before my shift starts. Then I freak out on the drive there, thinking I am going to be late and make it just 5 minutes before my shift start. Then I pretty much work until the end of my shift. Afterwards, I usually end up either going out with Jay, or with other friends. Then towards the end of the time, if my mom and sister went over to our family friends' place, then I would drive over there and spend the rest of the night with them.
Sunday
My Sunday is fairly simple. If, the night before, I ended up meeting up with my mom and sister at our family friends' place, we would leave their place around 2-3am. I get home and go to bed as quickly as I can. Then I would wake up and head to church. Afterwards, I spend the rest of my Sunday just relaxing and browsing through a lot of blogs!
So... that's pretty much my weekend routine. If you're participating in this monthly challenge, and happened to pass by my blog, leave a comment and I'll be more than happy to follow along your blog daily! Happy Sunday everyone!

#bedm - 5 Favourite Posts

Happy Friday bloggers! I am so excited that I can sleep and just relax for the weekend... well just most of it. I have another 7am shift tomorrow morning! So expect a post later during the evening, just like I have posted yesterdays and today's post later than usual.

Today is the second day of the Blog Everyday in May Challenge hosted by the lovely Elizabeth from Rosalilium. This challenge is actually different, instead of a linkup where you provide a link to your post; you post the link on your twitter, and use the hashtag #BEDM to view other's post! Today's topic is actually perfect as it helps bring up past posts that many of my new blogger followers may have never come across. Today's topic is: "5 Fave Posts - pimp out your favourite posts on your blog".
Below I will provide the title of my favourite post with a little excerpt (something similar as shown under my "Popular Posts" sidebar. At the end of the excerpt I will provide a link for you to select if you choose to check it out. My favourite posts are in no particular order, so hopefully you all enjoy reading!

Tangible Object, Intangible Value
When it comes to gifts, I think it's safe to say that jewellery speaks closely to not only a woman's heart, but her emotional and mental well-being. There are so many meanings and emotions that we associate with any piece of jewelry. It can make any girl smile just by looking and wearing it. I mean, that's how I feel... Thankful for You.
Waking up this morning got me thinking, "Thank you God for allowing me to wake up to another day." most people, whether they admit it or not, don't appreciate the lives they have. We all just wake up and perform our daily routines, complain about things here and there, come home and complain some more, then go to bed... However, as I began to realize that I too am guilty of not appreciating my life, I began to live my life differently... [CLICK HERE TO CONTINUE READING]

His Love is Strong
Today is Good Friday. Ironic isn't it? How can we call a day "good" when this was the day Jesus was condemned to death? When this was a day when he died? If you ask me, when a loved one passed away, I never once said it was good. So how is it different with Jesus? Why is it considered Good Friday? Today was the day Jesus died on a cross... for us. I personally think that today is known as "Good Friday" because His death was for our good. [CLICK HERE TO CONTINUE READING]

A Thousand Words
... This photo is actually one of my favourite pictures of my sister and I because we grew up literally doing everything together. We joined all the same extra circular activities, the same teams at school, we went to the same schools; like basically we dominated everything together. We are like the ultimate sisters. If your'e wondering about the uniform, it is our Air Cade uniform that we wear in the Royal Canadian Air Cadet Program. (And no, this isn't a program that sends kids to war). The story behind this picture is different... [CLICK HERE TO CONTINUE READING]

#bedm – What is Your Blog All About?

Happy Thursday everyone! I have exciting news... I have decided to join another blog challenge! Honestly, I love a good challenge, so whenever I come across one, I always love to hop onto other blogs and just create new blogger friends. This month, I will be taking part in the Blog Everyday in May Challenge hosted by the lovely Elizabeth from Rosalilium. This challenge is actually different, instead of a linkup where you provide a link to your post; you post the link on your twitter, and use the hashtag #BEDM to view other's post!
The first topic is actually perfect for all the new follows (or soon to be followers) on my blog. What is your blog all about? Hmm... where should I even start? I started this blog just less than a year ago in hopes of just expressing myself in anyway I can. Why is my blog even called I Write About You? Well, I have a tumblr page called, She Writes About You; and I wanted to have a connection between my blog and tumblr. Instead I used "I" since at the beginning of my blog, I talked a lot my feelings for Jay.
So what is my blog about now? Don't worry... I'll get to the point of this post now. So what is my blog about? It's about me! A personal lifestyle blog where I basically share my daily experiences. I also blog about makeup techniques/products I use on the daily, and fashion tips or styles I'm currently in love with. So, it isn't necessarily focused on one specific topic, I tend to blog about a variety of things!
As my blog is slowly approaching to the one year mark, I am really trying to build stronger relationships with other bloggers. Hopefully this challenge will help with that!
