My Latest Obsessions!

I think having obsessions are fun, but also be timing consuming. But, I mean...who pays attention to the whole wasting an entire day?? Okay, maybe I do. But, like I said obsessions are usually fun! Without that interest or fun element, you wouldn't really be obsessed with them. I think I'm rambling and rambling just to make an intro. Let's just get straight into it! Below I've listed 5 things I'm obsessed with!

1. Grey's Anatomy!
I can't help but use every minute of my free time to watch this show. It is SO addicting to watch! Have you ever watched Suits and been obsessed with the whole lawyering things? Well, it is exactly like that but with the doctor and surgery side of the medical world! Crazy stuff and VERY interesting story line and characters. I LOVE IT!

2. Pinterest
I've had pinterest for a while now. And, because I had tumblr, I found myself on tumblr more than pinterest. But, lately, I found the joy in Pinterest that others feel. So, if you follow me on Pinterest, you may have noticed that I've been pinning MORE than usual! And, that ties in with my obsession. I'm making more boards and separating everything into the categories I want. It's both fun and addicting!

3. Tattoos
Ever since I got my first small outline tattoo of a heart on my wrist, I've been OBSESSED with tattoos in general! And, I'm obsessed with the idea of my next tattoo. I keep going through pinterest getting inspiration and thinking about a certain spot I would like it. IT is such a rush. And, the moment I save up enough money (tomorrow is payday), I'll be getting my second tattoo! YAY.

4. Journalling
Ever since I started journalling, I haven't been able to put it down I love the idea of writing all my feelings and my thoughts. I also love the feeling that come afterwards... it is like a moment of relief and freedom from my thoughts. It helps me have a blank mind when starting a new task. I love doing it, and I literally write everything

5. Penelope
My bunny. She's cute, and fluffy, and soft. She's the cutest. She's my favourite pet, and my favourite thing to come home to. Did I mention she's the cutest bunny to ever exist??

There you have it! What are some of your obsessions?!

I Bought A Ban.do 17-Month Agenda

I Bought A Ban.do 17-Month Agenda

I DID IT! I bought my own agenda, and I would do it again, and again, and again just to relive that glorious moment I opened the agenda from its packaging.  I say packaging because it was in plastic when I bought it at the store! More on that just a few paragraphs down.

For the past 2 weeks or so, I was literally on a hunt looking for the perfect agenda to start off the school year. I wanted something small, inexpensive, yet cute and really pretty to look at.  Let me tell you, I've run into many different styles and assortments of agendas online - through etsy, and amazon. And although there were times I was tempted to press the "purchase now" option, I always doubted my choice because I really didn't know first hand how the actual agenda looks like.

So, I gave up. But, then just a few days ago, Mandy from A Girl Obsessed posted a picture on her instagram sharing a glimpse of her agenda. I was in awe! I quickly scrolled through her instgram to find the first time she had posted her agenda to find out where in the world she got it from. Then, I discovered BAN.DO!

Going through their page, I knew in an instant which one I wanted. I forgot how I did this exactly, but I somehow ended up on a page showing stores that sell their agendas. And, I happen to come across Indigo (a store in Canada) where I decided to skip the shipping fees and drive out there myself.

That's what I did!

I personally love this agenda! I've used it for the past few days, and I've yet to have any complains! This is by far the best agenda I've ever own; plus it is most definitely the cutest! A definite must buy!

Oscars 2015: My Fave Looks + Fave Performances!

background image via
Last night was the 2015 Oscars! I think my favourite part of the Oscars is the red carpet! It is just because Hollywood stars go all out and dress very well for the event! And I have to say, this year, everyone looked absolutely stunning!

There are stars who stuck with the simple black and white gowns, yet still rocked it! And, there were stars who shined in their beautiful spring-inspired colours! Yes, those colours just make me absolutely excited for the cold to go away!

Anyways, I chose some of my favourite looks, and some of my favourite couples! Hopefully you'll agree with some of the looks I fell in love with!
The Ladies:
America Ferrera                   //                   Anna Kendrick                   //                   Emma Stone
Lupita Ngong'o                   //                   Sienna Miller                   //                   Reese Witherspoon
Sofia Vergera                  //                   Jennifer Aniston                   //                   Jennifer Hudson
My ALL TIME Favourite!
Scarlett Johansson                  //                         Jennifer Lopez                                 //                        Rita Ora
The Men:
Bradley Cooper // Chris Pine // John Legend // Josh Hufferson

Couples:
Adam Levine and Behati Prinsoloo        //        Justin Theroux and Jennifer Aniston        //   Faith Hill and Tim McGraw

Fave Performances!
Can I start off by saying that all the performances last night were just absolutely breathtaking? I decided to share TWO of my absolute favourite performances!

Lady Gaga killed this medley! How beautiful was her voice? It was just stunning, and don't know about any of you guys, but I teared when Lady Gaga finished that performance and Julie Andrews comes out on stage! Like WOW! That was just such a beautiful moment for me!
If only I knew how to really express my feelings about this performance. I honestly believe that this was such a POWERFUL performance. It was so beautifully executed, and you could really see the passion behind the words John Legend and Common and sang. BRAVO!

Stiletto Nails

Stiletto Nails

3 weeks ago, I wrote a post about getting stiletto nails, click HERE if you haven't read it! And with just 3 weeks flying very quickly, my nails have seemed to grow, leaving the distinction between the fake nail, and my actual nail. I knew I had to either take them off, or take them off AND get them re-done. I could not make a decision, so this just lingered my head for the entire week.

Then, my sister made an appointment with our family friend to get her nails done for prom this Friday! I always love doing "girly" activities with my sister. She is such a tomboy, so it is rare whenever she gets her hair done, or nails done.. or even shop for heals! So i jumped at this chance and got my nails done with her!

Instead of going through the process of taking off the acrylic nails and reputing them back on, the lovely Tina told me that my nails are still relatively new, and my best option would be just to do a refill! I was kind of relieved because I was hungry at the time and didn't really feel like staying too long.  I also couldn't decide what colour I wanted... I love the colour pink, but I didn't want to do pink AGAIN. So, I decided purple and gold.

It was a great girls day!

I Got My Nails Did!

I Got My Nails Did!

Anyone else into the latest fashion trend of Stiletto Nails? To be honest, I didn't even know they were called stiletto nails until my sister told me... this entire time I've been calling them "Pointy Nails"!

Anyways, yesterday was my sister last IB exam and she decided to volunteer me to drive her and her friend to the salon for them to get facials. Being the good sister that I am, I said yes since I felt like she deserved to relax. So, instead of waiting there for an hour or so, I decided that it was time for me to pamper myself as well! So, as you can tell from the photo above, I decided to get my nails done!

The last time I got my nails done was 2 years ago, and that was for prom. I got acrylic nails and boy did my nails get ruined. This time, I decided to spend a little more and got something called UV Gel. Apparently this type is very strong and long lasting, something that is definitely a plus when it comes to fake nails.

I really like the way my nails ended up. To be honest, I didn't think stiletto nails would even look good on me... but I just had to try it out. I decided to get a one colour instead of a design. I think the beauty is in the colour of the nails and how long they make my chubby fingers look!

Do you like stiletto nails?

My Favourite Drug Store Foundation

13 May 2014

My Favourite Drug Store Foundation

The other day I stopped by Walmart to pick up more foundation. I usually get the powder foundation, but this time around, I wanted to go back towards liquid foundation. As I was picking out my shade, Fit Me Anti-Shine Foundation Stick from Maybelline immediately caught my eye!

And after hearing and reading such great reviews, I was excited to just try it out! I fell in love with the different shades as this new formula comes in literally 12 different shades. The foundation is literally in a stick form and comes in a plastic twist-up tube containing gel foundation with the anti-shine serum in the centre.

I applied the foundation using highlighting and contouring techniques. Then with the use of my fingers, I rubbed the formula across my face. I find that the finishing look was absolutely flawless! I'm not wearing any other makeup in the above photos, yet this foundation provides such a natural look!

This is for sure my favourite, and the best, drug store foundation I've ever used! I am absolutely in love with it, and so I highly recommended to all who are thinking of changing up their foundations! Best part, it is only $7.96 at Walmart!

Have you tried it? Let me know your opinions!

i on Beauty | 7 Piece Brush Set

26 March 2014

i on Beauty | 7 Piece Brush Set

Last Friday was actually payday for me, and boy was I excited to spend my hard working money! Working in my first retail job, I have to tell you how extremely hard it is to control my shopping impulses at work.  Whenever I am putting merchandise away, or restocking areas of the store, I am always finding and seeing items that I wish I could buy in that moment in time. But, obviously I cannot since I am working, and the customers should be able to purchase items... So I usually have to wait after my shift, or whenever I am not working, to purchase the items that I fell in love in an instant.

So literally, at the end of the week I was so excited that it was payday.  What did I do with my Friday? I literally spent the ENTIRE day shopping at Winners.  And yes, I literally went to THREE different Winners locations just shopping my butt off.  Everything I purchases was actually completely random - but that's the best part of shopping, always finding something new that you love!

I randomly picked up this i on beauty 7 piece travel set.  I think what attracted my attention was the fact that this set is a Geo-Friendly Bamboo Collection.  I'll wait for the ou's and ah's from you all...  I haven't really gotten myself a brush set that I am completely in love with, so I decided to purchase this brush set for only $15.00 at Winners.  (According to the price tag, the original price was $30.00).

There are 6 brushes included in this travel set, all with different purposes! If you are wondering how this is a 7 piece travel set, the set includes a pouch to keep all the brushes in when travelling - hence why it is a travel set! The brushes are made from super soft synthetic talon hair and recycled material as they were made 100% cruelty free!  The bamboo handles makes controlling these brushes absolutely easy to handle.

Powder Brush: This is a pretty big brush, but it is for the use of powder.  I actually mostly used this brush for my bronzer, which I enjoyed using very much. This brush is also great when it comes to blending as well.

Blush Brush: This is the brush I definitely use the most from the entire set.  I actually use this brush as a concealer brush, since this set does not contain a concealer brush.  It actually works perfectly well as a substitute for a concealer brush.  I find that this brush actually blends the concealer really well under my eye which makes it easier to layer up concealer on my face.

Eye Defining Brush: I love this brush. I use it to apply eye showed on the crease of my eye.  However, I do wish that the brush was more angled to help apply eye shadow on the crease of my eyes more easily.

Angled Eyeliner Brush: What I love about this brush is the fact that it is super thin and angled, so creating the cat eye look using gel eyeliner is really easier! It has to be the best eyeliner brush I've ever used, so I am definitely happy with this!

Eyebrow Comb/Brush:  I actually very much like this eyebrow comb.  It really makes combing my eye brow hair in one direction smoothly.  That being said, this brush is probably the least used brush for me.  Hopefully I'll find more reasons to use the brush more often.

Smudger: It is a great brush for applying bursts of colours without a mess! So, although I hardly use this brush, it is still a great one!

Pouch: As cute as this pouch is, I personally don't like it too much.  I would have rather have a case for my brushes that have holders, so that I have a specific spot for each brush.  I like keep everything organized and all in one place, and some mornings I get frustrated trying to get a brush that is at the below other brushes.

Overall, I have to say that I am actually pleased with this brush set.  I honestly love using these brushes whenever I apply on makeup, which is pretty much a daily routine for me now.  If you do purchase these brushes at Winners, (or Marshalls), I think it would be a good investment as it is also geo-friendly to the environment!

Have you ever tried/used i on Beauty brushes? What brushes do you like using? Let me know in the comments!

Spring is Here!

Good morning bloggers! Do you know what day it is? It is the first day of Spring! Wo-hoo, you have no idea how excited I am for just the cold to go away! Although there might be some flurries tonight, I am still very hopeful that we no longer will be experiencing the snow falling down!
Today, I decided to share some styles that I am currently obsessed with! Right now, my closet is full of neutral colours of white, black and beige, and few shades of pink and blue here and there.  Because it has been such a cold winter, I decided to change up my wardrobe and style with some bright colours to celebrate spring! And because I now work at a store with cloths everywhere I look, my obsession to shop and purchase these new colours is getting stronger and stronger each shift I work!
1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6 / 7 / 8 / 9
I get paid tomorrow, hopefully I have time this weekend to shop until I drop! Any styles you are excited to wear this spring seasons! Let me know!

Business Casual Looks

Wow! I cannot believe how it is already Friday! I've had such a busy week, especially the last few days, which was why I couldn't and didn't have time to blog.

If you recall from a few weeks ago, I blogged about how I got the job, and I was really excited (and still excited for that matter).  It was actually on Wednesday when I officially had my first 4 hour shift.  Because it was my first day, I had a lot of information to absorb! It was a lot... so it was a kind of dry day.

Yesterday, I has my second shift, and it was more fun.  Although some of the tasks were repetitive, I actually had fun doing something rather than just walking around the store, and my manage just bombarding me with tons of information.

At work, our dress code is business casual, which is definitely different from the ripped jeans, and sloppy t-shirts I wear to school.  So, since I was unable to blog for the past two days due to being exhausted from both school and work, (I still don't know how I am going to manage both), I decided that today I would share with you some of my favourite business casual looks that I found from non-other than Pinterest!

With the few selections I decided to share with you, you can really see that I might be going with the pink, black and beige look for work.  Although on the first day of work, I really tried looking professional by wearing grey dress pants and a white dress shirt, yesterday I really took the casual approach and wore blue dress shirt with black tights and black high boots.
Well there you go! Have a good weekend everyone! xo.
