Removing Picture Borders

18 January 2014

Removing Picture Borders

If you haven't already noticed, I changed my blogger layout... again.  See this is the problem I have, I am never satisfied.  I will keep trying different things here and there until I am satisfied with the final results.  This is why I don't buy my layouts, because I'd go broke just purchasing template after template, month after month.

So if you're anything like me, blogger codes and help will be very useful to changing your template anytime you please.

Today I am going to teach you how to Remove your blogger picture border.  This is basically an easy tutorial.

Why remove the border around your pictures?

  • The border is just annoying to have and to see
  • It doesn't look good having a border around your signature...
  • And it is annoying to have the border around the signature.

  • Well that's that... LET'S BEGIN!

    Step 1: In your blogger dashboard, go to Template and then click on Customise".

    Step 2: In the left menu, click on "Advanced", then scroll down to the bottom and click on "Add CSS".

    Step 3: Copy and past the following code:

    .post-body img, .post-body .tr-caption-container, .Profile img, .Image img,
    .BlogList .item-thumbnail img {
      padding: none !important;
      border: none !important;
      background: none !important;
      -moz-box-shadow: 0px 0px 0px transparent !important;
      -webkit-box-shadow: 0px 0px 0px transparent !important;
      box-shadow: 0px 0px 0px transparent !important;
    }

    Hit enter after the last "}"

    Step 4: Click on "Apply to Blog" and you're done!

    Let me know if this worked!

    What Inspires Me

    What Inspires Me

    Today is day 12 of the Inspire Me blog challenge hosted by both Showered With Design and Happiness is a Mood Not a Destination! Today's blog topic is:
    Friday, January 17: What Inspires your blog posts?
    Get a little deep and pick a past post that is meaningful to you.

    If you're interested in participating, click HERE to see this month's post topics!

    My answer to this question is very simple, whenever I experience something meaningful enough to share with others, I pretty much blog about it. Other days, ideas just come into my head and I can sit down just writing 2-3 blog posts that I will use later on during the week.  I mean there are some other days where I have no idea what to write about, so I sit there hard.

    But in all honestly, its the interaction with my friends and family that inspires me to blog.  It's the experiences that are worth noting to share.  Since this blog isn't really specific to make-up, or outfits, of course I'm going to write things about my life for others to learn from.

    Now for the second part of today's blog prompt, there's one post that means a lot to me.
    Thankful for You. I wrote that post inspired by the events that occurred that day, and what I've learnt about myself and about my feelings based on that day.

    What inspires you to blog? I'm curious to know if there are others out there who don't need inspiration and just write brilliant things!

    Keep warm for the weekend!

    Five on Friday

    Five on Friday

    It's finally Friday! Today I'm linking up for the first time with April, Darci, Natasha and Christina to share random Five on Friday today!
    --------------------------------------------------
    ONE
    It is only the second week back at school and I am seriously mentally exhausted! I sit in my three hour classes just wondering when the prof will either give us a 10 minute break, or if they are kind enough to finish.  I'm only tired because I've been extremely busy keeping up with textbook readings.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------

    TWO
    This boy makes me smile. His English and his imagination is continuing to grow, which excited me! He's better at holding conversations now, and he's loving school more and more everyday!

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------

    THREE
    Being the diligent student that I am trying to become, I was looking at this figure in my Child Psychology textbook. The section I was reading about was the stages of labour, and this figure caught my attention.  After carefully examining the image AND reading the detailed text... I decided that I no longer have the dream of having 6 children in the future.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------

    FOUR
    I told myself that I wouldn't have so much caffeine for the 2014 year, but I pretty much had Tim Horton's French Vanilla every... day... this... week!
    If you have no idea what I am talking about, you need to come down to Canada and try it for yourself!

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------

    FIVE
     The sky looks so beautiful this morning on my way to school. It was relaxing and calming to look at, and it just makes me excited for the weekend!
    Have a great weekend!

    My Winter Wonderland

    Today is day 11 of the Inspire Me blog challenge hosted by both Showered With Design and Happiness is a Mood Not a Destination! Today's blog topic is:
    Thursday, January 16: I'm a New England girl and used to taking pictures of the beautiful son but some of you don't get to experience that.
    Take a photo of what your "winter wonderland" looks like.

    So here is how my my winter wonderland looks like! These are pictures I took during the ice storm just last month.  I am a fan of the beauty the white snow brings, I just do not like the cold that has to come along with it.

    But my winter wonderland includes a white blanket of snow! I just enjoy the beautiful scenery that the snow offers when it just lays onto of the snow branches!

    What does your winter wonderland look like?!

    Wednesday, January 15: Write a letter to yourself and don't open it until the end of the year!
    It's fun to see the difference a year can make!

    So here it is, the letter I wrote to myself... Please don't judge me on how vulnerable I am feeling... thanks.

    I'm interested in seeing what happens to myself through the year... Hopefully I'll be stronger than I am today, and better able to handle situations that may come up.

    Are you writing a letter to yourself? IF so, don't forget to link up and let me know if you're also interested in joining in today's challenge!

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Quick Update: A few days you may have read my post Random Acts of Kindness where I talked about the many ideas I have for the random acts I am planning on doing for the year.  And since this morning I woke up feeling great and amazing, and I decided to make someone else's day! At the drive through of Tim Hortons, I paid for the coffee of the person behind me!

    Yay! It feels good to secretly make the day of another person!
