Week 1 of Dieting (A Recap)


ONE WEEK has past. I thought I would share with you what I ate and what I was feeling based on what I wrote in my You First journal. SO, hopefully I continue strong over the next 30 days, and hopefully you enjoy following my progress, I'll try to be as brief as possible!

SUNDAY: (day 1)
Main focus: PROTEIN
  • Breakfast/Lunch: I had a passion drink, which is an exclusive Yoli mixture of powder and water that increases alternates and wakefulness... I personally didn't like the taste. 
  • After 30 minutes of drinking that, I drank a chocolate flavoured YES shake. I personally thought this tasted SOO much better.. It tastes like a milkshake, but without the milk and no added sugar or sweetener. 
  • After 30 minutes, I finally ate a salad including lettuce, strips of carrots, egg whites and chicken breast. This was actually delicious. Wished I could've ate a larger portion. 
  • Before eating dinner, I had another YES shake, but this time vanilla flavoured. I REALLY LOVE THIS. It honestly tastes amazing! So, I was happy with this.
  • Dinner was even better! I had myself salmon with a side of peas and carrots, lettuce with balsamic vinaigrette, and egg whites!
  • Ended the night drinking water!
Snacks: I found myself eating an apple, and nibbling on some dried fruits (i.e., raisons) and nuts. I never realized how delicious these actually tasted...

MONDAY: (day 2)
Main focus: MEAL DAY
  • Breakfast/Lunch: I had a passion drink, again I really don't like the taste of this drink...
  • After 30 minutes, I drank a chocolate flavoured YES shake.
  • After 30 minutes, I ate whole wheat pasta (easy on the ground beef, and pasta sauce). 
  • Drank the passion drink again.. still not liking the taste of this.
  • Ate more whole wheat pasta (since there was extra left over from when I came home from class)
  • Drank vanilla flavoured YES shake.. and YES, this tasted so much better.
Snacks: I found myself nibbling on a few whole grain crackers since I stayed up late into the morning working on an essay and *trying to study for a midterm.

TUESDAY: (day 3)
Main focus: PROTEIN
  • Breakfast/Lunch: I had a passion drink.. chugged it down quickly since I woke up really late and I was a rush to get to class on time.
  • After 30 minutes, I drank a chocolate flavoured YES shake. I kept drinking this along the drive to school.
  • Ate chicken salad just before class - chicken breast with few strips of cheese, romaine lettuce, Cesar dressing, and croutons.
  • Drank the passion drink during my 3 hour break before my next class
  • Ate more whole wheat pasta (since there was extra left over from when I came home from class)
  • Drank vanilla flavoured YES shake.. and YES, this tasted so much better
Snacks: I had pieces of pineapple in class... that really helped with my sweet cravings I was having for pop.

WEDNESDAY: (day 4)
Main focus: MEAL DAY

  • I slept in because I was staying up late studying for my midterm. 
  • So, I found myself missing "breakfast" timings... but, when I woke up I had the passion drink, followed by the chocolate shake 30 minutes later. 
  • I ate a banana.
  • For lunch (literally before I left for school), I ate 1/3 cup of rice and some seasoned chicken. 
  • I drank my passion drink at school and had a small yogurt as snack. 
  • I came home late from my midterm, found myself just eating another 1/3 of rice and seasoned chicken.
  • Drank the vanilla YES shake, and called it a night
THURSDAY: (day 5)
Main focus: PROTEIN

  • Woke up for work, and had the passion drink. 30 minutes later, I had the chocolate YES shake.
  • Ate yogurt mixed with almost nuts for breakfast!
  • Lunch, I bought myself chicken souvlaki on whole wheat pita, with lettuce, grilled onions, tomatoes, bit of cheddar cheese, hummus,  and tzatziki sauce.
  • For dinner I drank the passion drink, followed by eating baked salmon with lettuce, onions, egg whites
  • Before going to bed, I drank the vanilla YES shake!
FRIDAY: (day 6)
Main focus: MEAL DAY

  • Woke up and drank the passion drink, followed by the chocolate YES shake 30 minutes later. I ate oatmeal for breakfast (instead of having it with milk like I usually do, I had it with almond milk*)
  • Lunch I decided not to buy at work, and just packed up chicken breast from home.
  • Dinner I had 1/3 cup of rice and goat meat my mother made.
  • I had the passion shake, followed by the vanilla YES shake.


SATURDAY: (day 7)
Main focus: PROTEIN

  • Woke up early (since it was a work day for me), I drank the passion drink, followed by the YES chocolate shake 30 minutes later.
  • Found myself eating nuts at work because I was running behind, PLUS leaving my breakfast AND lunch on the dinning table. 
  • I bought myself a chicken souvlaki (in a salad form) with romaine lettuce, grilled onions, cheddar cheese, hummus, tzatziki sauce. 
  • For dinner - I went out with Jay, and found myself eating half of the nachos we ordered as an appetizer, and for entree, I ordered Chicken Stir Fry (with jasmine rice and lots of veggies and chicken breast) YUMMY.  
Something I found...
I was surprised to feel satisfied when nibbling on the nuts. I never use to have nuts as a go-to snack in the past, it was usually something more unhealthy. But, opting for nuts is most likely going to be a permanent change!

ALSO: I haven't had coffee for 7 days... and I haven't felt more awake than ever. I used to think coffee is a must for me in order to stay awake, but no... I was completely wrong!

TRYING... to elevate my feet, have a long weekend of shifts!
COOKING... at the moment, nothing
EATING... A lot of salad...
DRINKING... Water, and my protein shakes
CALLING... Jay
TEXTING...  coworkers to see if anyone wants my Saturday shift
PINNING... bedroom decor!
TWEETING... My links to the blog mostly
GOING... to sleep very shortly!
LOVING... cashew nuts :) 
HATING... being so tired... like, I'm actually so exhausted
DISCOVERING... life DOES GO ON without coffee .. (day 5 without it!)
THINKING... about when I should start my essay
FEELING... tired.
HOPING (for)... more positivity in my life!
LISTENING (to)... HOTLINE BLING aha, only Drake song I know
CELEBRATING... The fact my parents are almost done renovating my room
SMELLING... my vanilla scented room
ORDERING... a book from Amazon, just haven't decided which one yet! 
THANKING... my parents for all the hard work they've done for my sister and I.. 
CONSIDERING... Another career option...
STARTING... To feel more confident in myself
FINISHING... Scheduling my post for the rest of next week!

This Time Last Year...


Looking back in the past, it is sometimes amazing to see how much we've changed - from the cloths we wear to how we do our hair, or to the way we think and write. Something is always changing! And, when it comes to my blogging past, I noticed a lot of differences. The biggest difference being... Content

Heck yeah, my content is COMPLETELY different! This time last year, I was basically blogging everyday, conducting some sort of weekly idea, every day of the week. Doesn't make sense? Well, let me be more specific. From the looks of my archives:
  • Mondays I blogged about my weekly goals
  • Tuesdays-Thursdays I blogged about something random
  • Fridays seemed to be about following a plan from You Version, and spreading it over the course of 12 weeks?
  • Saturdays was about weekly confessions from school, and
  • Sundays were Silent Sundays...
In comparison to now... 
I find myself blogging more about... well, me.  I've been more personal lately; talking about some of my inner thoughts and feelings, and sharing excerpts from my journal.. definitely a huge difference in my opinion. 

I also see a huge difference in my photography.  This time last year, I used little to none of my own photos. I usually just used free images from stocksnap, and then just linked it back to them. NOW, I'm using more and more of my own photos. I learnt how to edit, and better yet, - I learn how to take photos. I mean, it may not be a professional like other bloggers, but I mean, I definitely see a HUGE improvement.

Overall, I think it is safe to say that my blogging has changed over the course of 1 year. And, I'm not sure how you feel, but it makes me feel good - as if I am growing and branching out while exploring new thoughts and creative ideas that are in my mind. I likes these changes, and hopefully this path I am on will continue!

I personally love the direction I see my blog going towards!

For those who didn't know, I actually started my blogging journey via tumblr.  And, ever since I posted my first thoughts/feelings on the internet world, I became addicted! So, addicted, that I think others actually started becoming addicted to what I was reflagging.

Going through my archive, it is crazy looking back at how much of my thoughts and feelings were reflected there, on that part of the internet. What was even more crazy was the fact that I was so open to strangers about feeling sad, or worthless, or heart broken. People would even send me personal messages asking if I was okay.

Then, going as the years went on, I noticed there was a change of what I what I was reblogging and sharing with others... Clearly, I had a change of heart and mindset, and it nicely reflected on my tumblr. 

Lately, I've been neglecting my tumblr. I guess, I just got lost in real life - or my other social media platforms - that I forgot how many people I've helped and helped me through a lot over the past years. But, I created a mood board showing you the kinds of things that are going through my mind - and, it is clearly all about love! Love for others, and love for the self. 

I've definitely grown through the years, learning to love not only myself, but others. And, I am so thrilled I am able to see through growth through the archives of my tumblr - She Writes About You.

Shopping Online: Saving with Kate Spade!


Happy Monday, friends! Today, I'm going to talk about a recent purchase online. And, based on the picture above... you've guessed it! It is a Kate Spade purchase! Even better, it was a purchase from the Surprise Sale that Kate Spade had just last month. (So yea... this is  somewhat of a late post)!

My cousin celebrated her 21st birthday just last month, and my sister and I decided to get her a purse as a gift. We weren't exactly sure which name brand to purchase, but somehow, luckily, on the day I actually decided to open some of the emails I receive from stores, I saw an email notifying me about the Surprise Sale on Kate Spade's website! Too much of our excitement, we hit the website ASAP and decided to buy her a bag right then and there! 


Purchased: Wellesley Durham (black)
     *Currently can't find black on the website, but they have it in red!*

The purchase arrived about a week after placing the order. And, because we ordered two bags (I'll talk about the second one in a separate post), the bags came in a BIG BOX. Like really big... Inside the box, were the bags covered in a plastic covering, and cushioned with a few airbags. Not bad I thought, a great way to ensure the bag does get damaged during delivery!

The bag was honestly stunning! I instantly fell in love with the bag, that I actually hesitated to wrap this gift for my cousin. Like, I wanted to keep this bag for myself! 

One thing that I was disappointed about (and I didn't know if this is a thing they do or not), but there was no Kate Spade dust bag provided. I know when you purchase a bag from the store, they usually provide you with a dust bag, so I was a bit surprised we didn't receive that... 

But, I soon didn't mind that downside when I realized how much I saved...

Original Price: $398.00 (before taxes)

Total Spend: $139.00 (before taxes)

Total SAVINGS: $259.00!

SO, I guess I (well, my cousin) can live without the dustbag since I saved BIG on one bag ;) 

P.S. She iterally teared when we gave her the bag. She was just super happy, and I was happy she liked it!

I'm Going a Diet!

PLEASE NOTE: This is not a sponsored post. This is an introductory post about my journey of DIETING. 
I think the human body is important. I also think that taking care of your body is even more important.

I am approaching the age of 21, and I am starting to realize more and more everyday that the body I currently have, is pretty much the body I will have for the rest of my life. For example, my height. I highly doubt I will continue to grow anymore, especially since I've been this height since grade 6 or 7?

So, in my personal opinion, because I am short (5"1 tall to be exact), my body weight makes me look heavier than I really am. And, as much as I don't want to say looks don't matter, I feel like they do because how you feel about yourself, is reflected your self-esteem. And, my body has been a BIG issue since I've started university. I just keep gaining weight, and I often feel unmotivated to do anything about it.

I don't want this feeling to continue throughout my adulthood years.

Last weekend, my parents decided to start this diet; and because I live with them, and eat everything they make, I decided to just join along with them. It is a 30-day diet by YOLI: Better Body System. I thought joining along with my parents would work perfectly since my birthday is just over a month away. Plus, the support in the house for each other us is better than going through a diet alone!

I'm kind of excited, yet worried. I actually started this diet yesterday, and working on Day 2. The diet seems to be alternating focuses between the days - so, one day there is a big focus on protein, and the next day is a big focus carbs (the good kind). When it comes to drinks, water of course is encouraged.  As well as mixtures for healthy drinks they suggest that ranging from protein shakes to antioxidant health drink to even fun sports drinks.

However, my biggest worry is not being able to finish. I mean, I'm putting it down on the internet, this has to encourage me to stick with this diet a little, no? I'm also worried about starving in class.. the growling noise my stomach might just be a little embarrassing in class.

Any tips or suggestions? What was your experience with dieting?

5 Reasons Why I Rather Hang Out With Penelope Over You!


1. She likes to cuddle with me!
Like literally, there is no fussing, or arguing or forcing involved. When I lay down in bed, Penelope comes running from wherever she was hiding or relaxing, to come to lay right beside me! She is so cuddly and furry. Who needs a man right? LMAO kidding Jay...

2. She greats me when I get home! 
People find this hard to believe because they don't think rabbits can do this, but Penelope actually, and usually waiting for me at the top of the stair case when I get home! And, after I pet her when I get home, she usually follows me around the house playing with me  - through the form of going around my feet! She's so silly. 

3. She's a great listener!
I can talk to her for hours/days/years for non-stop, and she will never leave. It's crazy! Like, even when she is laying down trying to relax, if I am talking, she always has her ear directed towards me. Plus, she never leaves! Like she has the option to just hope away if I talk too much, but she just lays there, in arms distance. She's just great! 

4. The best alarm clock!
I don't know how she does it, but she just knows exactly when to wake me up! I know I'm not really supposed to have Penelope out all the time, but I like to leave her out of her cage every so often, and she likes to wake me up with her kisses! Yes, she actually either licks the side of my face or lick my hand (if it is not under the blanket). And, when I wake up, she just expects me to pet her (princess!)

5. She never gets mad at my annoyingness! 
This might sound bad, but sometimes it is kinda fun to irritate Penelope (but not to the point where it would hurt her!) But, for some reason she doesn't mind! Haha, in fact, she just allows it. However, whenever my sister or mother just tries to even engage in contact with her, she gets irritated easily! But, I think that's because she just doesn't like them lol


So... there you go. I think I am obsessed in love with my rabbit, but not in a creepy way! I mean, not everyone has rabbits, so Penelope is definitely SPECIAL :P

My Initial Thoughts on "You First"

If you seen my post on instagram, then you would have already known the EXCITEMENT I was feeling when I finally got my hands on You First by Lea Michelle! I absolutely LOVE Lea Michele, and ever since I was exposed to her through Glee, I fell in love with, well her! And ever since, she has just been an idol and an inspiration of my mine. Oh, and how can you not talk about her voice? Her voice is literally to die for!

I haven't gone through the entire book as of yet, I thought I'd give you guys a first initial look into the book, in case there were others who were curious about what Lea's second book was about. 

It wasn't even planned - me purchasing this book. I knew it had been release for a couple of weeks, but I decided to wait a bit when school work dies down to purchase the book. But, I happened to be in the area of my favourite used book store, and actually found the it there, and for a really good price of $10. I was literally jumping and smiling as I pulled the book from the New Releases shelf, and I purchased it in that instance. 
To much of my surprise, You First is a journal - like literally a journal. There are few excerpts of written words, but it is not much. It is basically like an introduction to what you will be writing and exploring through your thoughts about. So, I have to admit... if this journal is about me, I was a bit confused as to why her face was on the cover... 

But, nevertheless, she's beautiful, and the cover is removable anyways; so, I really shouldn't complain, aha! AND, once you actually have a quick overview of what you will be through, it can actually be exciting! 
I haven't started the book as of yet - I'm planning on starting tonight after I finish my marathon of midterms. So, I am very excited to journal my way to a better life! YAY!

Thankful with the ABC's

Thankful with the ABC's


Today is Monday, and I have no classes/work. And, I am super THANKFUL for that. Wanna know why?? Because, it is Thanksgiving in Canada! So, before I proceed to today's post, I would just like to say Happy Thanksgiving to my fellow Canadian out there! Hope you all enjoy all the family time and all the food you are going to endure later on! I know I will:)

In honour of Thanksgiving, I thought I'd take the time to appreciate some of the many things I am thankful for having in my life. And, why not do it though the alphabet??? (I know, I did this last year, so I'll try my best not to repeat answers!)

- Ashley
Today, I am most definitely thankful for having an amazing sister in my life. She may be annoying at time, but I tend not to focus on that. I am thankful for having a sibling. I think my life would be QUIET and BORING without her in it.

B - Books
Lately, I've been so thankful for books. I find it a great escape from reality, especially school. If I am feeling stressed, I like to lay in bed and catch up with some of my favourite characters.  

- Canada
I mean, how can I not be thankful for the country I live in? I love what we have and how we differ from other countries. I especially love the free-health care. Definitely helpful when your like me constantly googling symptoms and coming up with random possible diseases (that I of course do not end up having). 

D - Daddy
I am super thankful for my dad. I am even more thankful for having him in my life. As I grow, I seem to forget my dad is growing older, as well. So, in all honesty, I'm just really thankful for having a father who is there and cares so much about me and my life! 

- Exercise 
I am thankful for how exercise made me feel this year. It has definitely kept me motivated to maintain a healthy lifestyle, one where I can be both mentally and physically strong (but that is a working progress!)

F - Family
I am thankful for family - my immediate family, my cousins, my aunts, uncles - everyone. To me, family is the most important thing to me. I will always have their backs, just as they would with mine. I am super thankful to have amazing people part of my family.

G - God
I am thankful for all He has given to me; the good and the bad. I am thankful for it all! Everything He has done, is for a reason, and I cannot wait to find out what my future has in store for me. 

HHealth
I am truly thankful I have a place to stay safe and warm. It is unfortunate, especially during the holidays where people are unable to stay in a warm place with food to eat. I think my home is something I've definitely been taking for granted. 

- Ice-Cream
I love ice - especially the classics like vanilla. If I was able to eat ice-cream for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, I wouldn't mind! 

J - Justin 
I am especially thankful for Jay today. He's my best friend, and someone I found myself to grow a closer connection with over the past 5 years. He means a lot to me, and I genuinely want to keep him forever. He's done so much for me, more than I can ever thank him for. 

- Kleenex
I am thankful for all the kleenex I ever use to wipe a tear from my face, or just use to wipe a tear before it fell down my face. It saved me a bunch of times from exposing sadness to others. Sometimes, I just don't want to talk about it... 

- Love
I am thankful for everyone in my life, especially those whom I love and love me back. Love really does make the world go round, and I am thankful I am blessed to have such people in my life. 

- Mommy
I am thankful to have a strong and loving mother in my life.  I am especially thankful of how supportive and active she is in my life. Not a lot take the time to do a lot for their kids... but, my mom seems to always go above and beyond when it comes to my sister and I. I know I might not show it a lot, but I am thankful for having her in my life.

- Nature
Nature is a beautiful thing. I find inspiration through the plants, animals, and wildlife I encounter. Absolutely beautiful. 

- Orchids
Orchids are my favourite flower. They are beautiful and just so elegant looking. It is something I am truly thankful for because of the many happy memories I have with orchids!

P - Penelope
Penelope is my favourite friend. I know she's a rabbit and all, but you would not believe the bond that we've developed together. She's super cuddly, and a great listener whenever I just talk to myself in my room, or need someone to listen to me study. She's the greatest, and CUTEST. So happy I have her in my life! 

- Quirks
We all have something that makes us different and unique. I am thankful for my quirks today for making me who I am today! 

R - Room 
I am thankful for my room today. A space to call my own, a space where I can feel at my most relaxed without thought of being judged. I love the comfortable of my room. And, I especially love coming home after a long day, and just curling up in my bed! I love it, I love it, I LOVE IT! 

- Silence
I am thankful for the days/moments I have of pure silence. Sometimes, the silence is needed to help clear my mind, or help make important decisions.

T - Talking
I am thankful for having the ability to talk. With that being said, I love the ability talking has allowed me to do... open up my feelings, share my ideas, provide help to others. I am thankful for this.  (However, I still want to learn ASL and communicate with them. I think it is an absolutely beautiful language and culture!)

- Unlearned
This might sound odd, but it really isn't if you think about it. I am thankful for the unlearned because I am open up to learning and exploring new things - such as learning about a different culture, or a different religion. I am not a one-minded person, and I love what the world has to offer. So, I am thankful for all the unknown and unlearned things I am about to learn in near time! 

- Vanilla Bean lattes
I can't lie, these are absolutely delicious. And, I am super thankful for having this in my life. I seriously helps get my day get started, and also helps me stay awake during my night classes! 

- Water
Today, I am especially thankful for water. I think we sometimes forget how accessible and available water is for us, we tend to take it for granted (i.e., leave the tap on while brushing your teeth). I love water, and without clean water, I think our lives would be EXTREMELY different. 

X - eXperiences 
Haha, I know it doesn't exactly start with the letter "x", but I x-ray was the only thing I could think about... But, today I am thankful for the experiences I've endured. Without them, I wouldn't be who I am today. And, truthfully, I am happy with who I am, including the values and beliefs I have holds.

YYou
I'm thankful for having you guys actually here on my blog, and for those who actually take time out of their day to read what I've got to say - the good, the funny, the bad, and the ugly. So, THANK YOU sooo much!

- Zumba
I find zumba EXTREMELY fun! SO,  I am thankful for zumba today, because not only does it make exercising fun, but because the class is on a Monday, it actually makes me excited about Mondays!

My Mother Is Just Too Funny for Words!

Today, I decided to share the last text that made me laugh! And, surprisingly, it was from my mom! So, pleaseee enjoy the following blog post! :)

Aren't moms hilarious? I mean, there are a lot of mommy bloggers out there, and from reading their posts, I know they have a great sense of humour! I mean, I always find that moms in general have a ways of knowing the future without really knowing it. Does that even make any sense? Probably not. But, I'm sure you've had days where your mom's weird tendencies randomly come in handy, and you just sit there in shocked that you were judging the entire time. I mean, how do moms literally know everything? Like really, how do they know!?!? 

The other day, while I was home alone waiting for my lovely parents to come home from work with food, I noticed that they were taking a little longer than usual to get home. I wasn't worried or anything... I was just hungry, aha. But, I decided to call my parents to ask their whereabouts. Then my dad answered the phone sounding all angry, and he told me my mother would just text me. 

Okay.... that doesn't sound too good.
Apparently, someone scratched the benz. Like literally full on scratched the benz. (I personally don't think its THAT bad...) And, my mother was texting me how angry and upset they were, and how they called the police and they've been waiting for almost an hour. So, they were just upset. The conversation proceeded to her claiming she knew exactly what car van hit the benz.

And this was her explanation... 

I MEAN THERE ARE SO MANY FUNNY THINGS HAPPENING!!!
  1. My mom carries measuring tape!!
  2. My mom went out of her way to measure scratches on peoples car
  3. My mom thinks she's an investigator
  4. What were the police even doing there? NOTHING clearly.
  5. My mom carries measuring tape!!
I personally thought it was funny! I mean... It may not sound as funny when I write it down. But, if you were there, you would have saw me dying of laughter on the couch! I immediately told everyone in the family.  Too funny how my mom is literally prepared for ANYTHING. I love her so much.

From the Journal: When Someone Lies to You...


Of course, a few thoughts, names, and situations are altered... This is the online world; I kinda still have to keep parts of my life and thoughts to myself, and the real thoughts in my journal. So, as authentic I wanted this post to be, I realized that my friends know about my blog... I didn't really want to call anyone out. I just wanted to rant. 

By the title of this post, you'd probably be expecting me to talk about a time I got jealous over Jay and some random girl. This is not that kind of post. In fact, surprisingly, it's about a few friends of mine - one in particular. So, let the ranting begin! 

I personally hate liars in general. I don't like it when people would say one thing to my face, but then do a complete 360 behind my back. I just think it is extremely wrong, and it just upsets me so much. I always try my best to be as honest as possible, no matter how much it may hurt. So, the fact that people don't it in return... it's just frustrating.

So, the other day, my friend and I were suppose to hang out. Everything was planned a week in advanced, especially since our school and work schedules were just constantly clashing. The other day seemed to be the only day we were actually free. My goal was to at least see her for like an hour or so, I just wanted to give her birthday present to her since I completely forgot to bring it to her party a week ago. So, I just wanted to meet and give her her gift. 

The morning we were suppose to meet, she actually messaged me telling me that she was tired. She just wanted to let me know that she would go home first from work and take a nap then come over.  I told her I didn't mind, and told her she can come by any time she wanted. But, somehow when I brought up my other friend having a hangover and working a 7 hour shift, she brought up meeting another day. 

I was a bit confused, but went along with it. Then, she proceeded to tell me how if she didn't have an early shift, she was going to study and sleep in before coming over. So, then she just flat out said she wanted to stay home and study; talking about having a lot of things coming up this week. I said okay, and we found another day to meet up.

Fast forward to the evening; I noticed she posted a story on snapchat. And, if you're a fellow snap chatter, you would know that people snap present moments. There's really no other way to upload pictures/videos from your gallery. Anyways, I looked at her snap to see her going out with other friends. They went to the movies and just hung out downtown. 

Talk about being tired and needing to study. 

It just made me upset. First, I don't like being lied to. Like if you don't want to hang out with me, TELL ME. Like, I literally won't cry over it. I will truly respect your honesty than lies. But, whatever right... I guess its easier to hurt my feelings by lying to me and then making me feeling even worse when your parading your lies on social media. Like, thanks. Thank you for showing me how much you respect our friendship, or at least value me as a person.

It's whatever. Perhaps next time, I just won't bother making time for you since I'm not that important, anymore.

October Goals!


Hello, friends! Hello, October! Hello, fall! Hello, new friends! Hello, to everyone! Can't you tell I'm in a good mood? Well, I am! Okay, I think I really need to stop with the exclamation marks... but, any who, what better way to start off the month with some positivity? I mean, positive thinking leads to a positive life right?

This Month's Wishes

1.  DON'T TOUCH THE CREDIT CARD! This is going to be a HUGE challenge. But, if I want to plan big for my 21st birthday next month, I need to save and not spend. I mean, I will touch the card to pay for gas... but, I think I'll stick to my debit instead of the credit card. Wish me luck!

2. Research. Applications for grad school, and second entry programs will soon open up. I need to sit down, get my life together, and figure out not only a plan, what schools I will be applying to. 

3. Fitness. Zumba on Mondays is a definite motivator for me! I mean, how fun is that?! Also, this month because I do have to balance school, work, and blogging (yes, this is important!), I decided to balance out my work outs. Practically speaking, 3 days at the gym and doing walk/run around the neighbourhood. And, because I work like a 6 minute drive from home, I will walk to work at least once a week! 

4. Get ahead in school work.  I think this should be a daily goal, and not just a monthly goal. I need to keep up with my school work, and ideally, just stay ahead if I can. It will make my life that much easier when tests are approaching, and I don't have to end up staying up the night before. 

5. Blog consistently. In the past, I've made goal of blogging daily. I won't lie, this is actually hard, and just stresses me out if I miss a day. This month, I'm going to try a different strategy, blogging at least 3 times a week! Hopefully, this will help improve my blog content while giving me more time to edit and take better photos!
