I've Missed This.

I've Missed This.

I really do.

It's been so loooooong since I've sat down and written on here. It's also been a while since I've had the urge to want to write on here. But lately, I've missed it.

I've also missed reading my favourite blogs. A lot of things has changed in the blogsphere, and unfortunately, that includes bloggers content. I'm all for fellow bloggers making cash flow. In fact, I try to do my best to help others out as much as I could. However, over the past couple of months/years, some of my favourite bloggers are constantly writing posts that are just so out of character... it no longer flows with their blog content.

It actually just turns me off. I really don't want to learn how to make money on my blog.  I started my blog because I fell in love with the process - the fact that others shared their lives and interests with words. It was amazing. And, that's what I wanted to do. I wanted to express myself the way others did.

But, like I said, I've missed doing this. Even writing this post now makes me happy inside. But, I know deep down that I just won't have much to say afterwards.

I know. I suck.

But, hey. At least I still have the will and the want to come back on here. So much has happened, and it's actually quite different not sharing and documenting my experiences anymore. I even stopped taking pictures of my daily life. Very different.

So, what's next? I think I'm about to do a clean up with my followings. But, that might take long... I might just try to find new blogs to read with content I love and connect to. I think I'll even go back to writing blog content ideas in my agenda whenever something pops in my head. Or, I might just take a break and come back stronger than ever in 2018...

Who knows! We shall see where life takes me...

Life Lately

Good morning on this very early Saturday.  For those who actually stop by daily to read my blog, you would have noticed that I have been MIA for many days of the week for the past month or so.  Life has been absolutely crazy, to the point where I actually do not have time to properly plan out any of my posts for the week, and take time to sit and write down anything.

The only reason I am actually able to write a post is because it is early in the morning, and the information I am studying is literally just passing through my mind... so, studying right now would just be ineffective and just a waste of time.  So before I head to bed, I decided to just let you all know what I have been up to.

Since my exam is just hours away, my friends and I already planned to meet up a few hours before the exam just to go over the major concepts.  So hopefully, I do well tonight.  the only good part about having an exam on a Saturday, is the fact that this is my last exam! Wohoo! I just want to get this over with and start relaxing on my break.... before I start summer school.  So start expecting to see more daily posts on a regular basis!

By the way, did you notice the picture? Haha, Penelope actually loves to keep me company during the past weeks of studying.  She actually loves to lay around me and just listen to me. She is honestly the best study buddy since she is an excellent listener, and she is just too darn cute!! P.s., she does' like water bottles, so she usually knocks it over with a head bud, which is why it is laying on my desk like that!

Have a great Saturday! Good luck to all who have exams coming up!

Finally Reunited

On November 19, I turned 19 years old.  As happy as my day was, an unfortunate event happened… Our long time family friend passed away.  It was hard to hear this news as my uncle (that's what I call him) has been apart of my sister and I's life ever since the age of 6.  I'm 19 now, that 13 years our families have been inseparable.

The viewing was last night, which was why I was unable to blog something then, and the service is later today.  As sad as it was, the family was unable to contact old friends that grew up with us as well. So my sister and I decided to pull out our contacts and try to contact our karate family.

Yes, I took karate don't be surprised.  My sister and I started at the age of 6 and we were able to attain our junior black belt.  So that was a huge accomplishment for us, and the friends we made was a bonus.

And last night, for the first time in years, we were all together in one room - and wow it was an amazing feeling.  You know how strong our friendship is when we all talked as if we just saw each other yesterday.  It wasn't awkward at all, it was just emotional because it felt like old times.  Being in that room with those group of people reminded me of my life at karate, and how much I miss doing it with them.

As unfortunate as the circumstances was, I think it sad that it takes a death in our family in order to get all of us to be together.  As happy as we all were, we decided to do a skating party with all of us just like old times.

Towards the end of the viewing, some of us started getting emotional because who knows when the next time is when we will all be together again… lol I'm thinking either Manan's or Joa's wedding (hopefully)! So my sensei wanted all of us to take a photo together to remember this moment, because like I said, it's been years since we have all been in the same room.
Standing up (left to right): Manan, Cody, Linda, Vanessa (ME), Kenneth, Shirley (my mom), Senpei Leigh, Billy, Sensei Ken, Kendra, Amanda, Lauren, Sensei Kim, Joe
Kneeling (left to right): Ashley, Daniel, Tony, Michael

Just looking at this photo makes me smile… I grew up with all of them ever since I was six years old.  We are missing other people, but hopefully we can all meet up for the skating party and really have the whole team there.  I love them all as they all made a huge impact on my life.  Thank you so much for guys!

First Post

What's should the first post be about?

School?  Too much to write about
Love life?  Do I want my parents even reading about it
Friends? hmm... do I even have "real" friends?

I guess I could talk about why I randomly decided to create a blog.  It was very random actually.  I was cleaning my room, and folding some cloths inside the closet when I decided, hmm.. maybe I should be writing this essay due on Tuesday.

But how could I?  My family from the States would be flying into town this Sunday, and my family is stressing me out to clean my room and help create space for the 7 family coming to stay in our small house. OMG.  Not only do I have exams right after they leave, but I have an essay AND an assignments due while they are here.  I guess the real question is, How do I cope with loud family, staying a 2 bedroom household while trying to balance family time and school...

You maybe be wondering, its summer so why do I even have to worry about school?  Well no offence to myself, but I was acting dumb this year.  I should have honestly tried harder during the first year of university.  If I did, I probably would've had a better GPA and not have to worry if my future is in jeopardy. Relax... my GPA wasn't that bad, it's just for the program I want is so competitive and I need to start being more competitive.  So what better way of getting ahead but by doing summer school?

I thought it was a great idea, until I heard the plans that my family would be doing while they are here... I'm actually kind of jealous because I want to have fun to.

But this is besides the point that I could talk about in another post later. So how did I come to a decision on writing a blog?

I wanted to tweet all my frustration out, but I didn't like how my "friends" would be able to read it... and on tumblr, I don't usually post stuff.. Then I was actually scrolling down Facebook newsfeed and noticed this girl created a blog and I thought it was a cool idea..

After 30 minutes of creating an uncreative url for this blog, here I am writing about it... How lame.
