Did anyone else spend the majority of their weekend watching Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life? I did! And, as much as I was excited to binge watch all four episodes, I decided to take my time going through the episodes while appreciating EVERY detail.
I do have to say, Netflix couldn't have done a better job bringing everything I love about Gilmore Girls back to life. All four episodes was everything Gilmore Girls and more. I love how a lot of things stayed the same, yet everything was sooooo different. Watching the episodes made me realized how much I grew up with this show and all the characters. It was basically like catching up with old friends. I loved it.
OH. And, that ending though!!!! I don't want to spoil it... But, I really hope Netflix comes with a second season. That is too much of a teaser to have me waiting...

So, in honour of my love for Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, I decide to take part in the Gilmore Girls tag!!! This TAG was originally from Sweet is Always in Style.
1. Let's get the tough question out the way first... Team Dean, Team Jess or Team Logan? Ohhh. I'm honestly torn between Jess and Logan. I mean, low-key, myself childhood self always wanted Rory with Logan because I thought he was just the cutest guy ever. And, I haven't strayed away from him since. But, besides his looks, I genuinely do think that he and Rory do make a good match. They have more in common together. 
2. You stop by Luke's Diner, your go to menu item is: blueberry muffin, pastry, french toast, burger and fries or pancakes with strawberries?  Hmm, it really does depend on what time of the day I go there.... but, I do love myself a burger and fries! I low key like to judge and decide between restaurants and diners of who has the better fries and burgers. BUT, I think I'd probably go there for his coffee. Lorelai obviously loves it. 
3. Harvard or Yale? I live in Canada, and those schools aren't as well known here. I only know that Harvard is one of the best Law schools... and as for Yale, all I know is that it was Blair Waldorf's dream school! So, it must be good.
4. It's time for the Star's Hollow 'Bid on a Basket' festival. What are you putting in your basket? Hopefully my bae would successfully bid on my basket; and so, I would prepare a nice picnic with some steak sandwiches, and a few fruits. And, of course cheesecake. Maybe two different types!
5. What's your favourite Gilmore Girls treat food? Pop tarts, Pizza, Chinese, Twinkies? Oooo.... lately, I've been loving pizza. It's all I want when I have "nothing" to eat. 
6. Friday night dinners or Star Hollow Town meeting? Friday night dinners for sure. I mean, I didn't get the chance to grow up with my grandparents as the lived in a different country. So, having Friday night dinners with them and my parents, would just be a dream come true.
7. Christopher, Max, Jason, or Luke? LUKE. He's soooo good to Lorelai and Rory.
8. Rory's ideal night alone is doing laundry in her pyjamas while eating Indian food. What would your ideal night alone be? In my pyjamas, have my a netflix series (or movies line up) already set up with some pizza. No phones. No social media. Just me and my bed watching anything in peace.
9. Who would you rather hang out with, Paris, Lane or Marty? Definitely Lane. She's just an amazing friend, and seem's eager to try anything new. I mean, I would love to be friends with Paris if we were in the same classes just for motivation to do as well as her. But, I feel like she can be a bit too much to handle. 
10. Finally, with 'A Year in the Life", what season would you love to visit Stars Hollow in? WINTER.  Even though I hate winter here in Canada, I feel like winter in Stars Hollow is absolute perfection. They've got the perfect white snow. They don't seem to be freezing their butts off. And, their winters just seem so much more enjoyable. It would be nice to experience different winter.

Ever since joining the Blog Boss Babe community, I've been really going out of my comfort zone to participate more in the forums, as well as exploring others blogs and commenting. I soon began to realize that my page views were increasing, and going through some of the webinars I realized I need to improve my about me page! Hence the reason why there is no "About Me" page available at the moment.
So, as I was reading through some of my daily reads, and found a cute post from Kendal @ Little Misadventures share 73 tidbits about herself. And, I decided to steal the Vogue 73 Questions from her as a way for my newer readers to get to know me as I am updating my "About Me" page!

Before I get into the questions, I thought I'd share a recent photo of myself. Why? Well, most people have a hard time guessing what my background is because I am mixed. Believe it or not, others have assumed I was either Spanish, Egyptian, Malaysian, and many more! So, I thought I'd share a photo of me wearing a sari, something that most people don't often see me wearing.
While you try to figure out what I am, let's get into these questions! (Don't worry, I'll share with you what my background is at the end of this post!)

1.What’s the best thing that happened to you this month? I GRADUATED UNIVERSITY :) (read about that here!)

2. What is something you’re tired of? Childish people.

3. What is something that recently moved you? A letter...

4. If you could teach one subject in school what would it be? Psychology! I love everything about it!

5. What’s your favorite beverage? COFFEE! Since its summer, I'm really loving my Caramel Fraps!

6. What’s your favorite cocktail? Pina Colada

7. What is your favorite birthday cake? Cheesecake; but recently Red Velvet

8.What is one thing you still have from your childhood? My stuffed animals

9. What is your favorite movie? I have a lot of favourites, a few including Sense and Sensibility, Mean Girls, P.S. I Love You... It's hard to think of these from the top of my head!

10. What is something you can’t do?  Pull-ups!

11. What is one habit you wish you could break? Biting my nails... I know... ew... 

12. What makes you laugh no matter what? Jay

13. What does creativity mean to you? Expressing everything from within.

15. What is something you’ve always wanted to try but you’ve been too scared to do? Moving out of the city 

16. Best advice for your 19 year old self? This is the best time to be adventurous and courageous. Try new things, try the things you've always wanted to do, have the time of your life. Legally you are an adult, but you don't have to have all those responsibilities. There's years of that.

17. If you could raid one woman’s closet who would it be? Any of the Kardashians/Jenners really

18. Must have purse item? LIPSTICK and lotion!

19. What did you want to do with your life at age 12? I wanted to become a doctor 

20. What is something you will not be doing in ten years? Sitting on my couch still clueless about my life... hopefully 

21. What is an important life lesson for someone to learn? Treat everyone like it is the last time you will see them. 

22. What is one goal you are determined to achieve in your lifetime? To give my parents the satisfaction that they can retire without worrying about my sister and I not being able to support ourselves, and them.

23. Would you ever live anywhere besides Toronto? I've been thinking about it...

24. What is your favorite dessert? Cheesecake!

25. Is there a dessert you don’t like? Hmm.. nothing seems to come in mind

26. It’s brunch! What do you eat? Eggs and sausages!

27. Who is your favourite writer? I've been loving a lot of writers lately, including Cecelia Ahern, Victoria Aveyard!

28. Favorite Disney animal? THUMPER!

29. What is a book you are planning on reading? I actually wrote a post of books I want to read before summer ends (read it here)

30. What did you read most recently? Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard 

31. Favorite solo artist? Loving Ariana Grande ... her voice though!

32. What’s your Favorite board game? I actually do not have one :/

33. What’s a city you wish to visit? ROME

34. Heels or flats? lately... FLATS

35.  Where does one go on a perfect road trip? here... to wasaga for the summer, or to Montreal for partying. Take your pick!

36. What do you do on a rainy day? Believe it or not, I like to eat soup on rainy days.. not sure why :/

37. What’s your favorite exercise? The elliptical lol

38. What was your worst subject in school? Oh dear.... chemistry.. 

39. What is your spirit animal? A rabbit. I am one with the bunnies, especially Penelope

40. What do you usually eat for breakfast? Nothing really... Usually don't wake up that early, lately.

41. What do you usually eat for dinner? Whatever is home! Sometimes I would have to buy something small.

43. Favorite baked good? Any cookies!

44. What is something you wish you could be good at? Singing

45. Skiing or Surfing? Lol none...

46. First celebrity crush? I wanna say... Brian from Backstreet Boys lol

47. Most recent celebrity crush? Honestly.. I can't think of anyone ??

48. What color was your prom dress? PURPLE! 

49. How do you manage stress? I read... like literally anything 

50. What do you do to relax? Lately, I've been taking naps. 

51. Age when you were first kissed? lol omg, I think 13

52. Place you were first kissed? Summer camp haha "under the stars" is how I used to describe ahaha!!

53. Favorite fashion trend of all time? High waisted jeans!

54. Best fashion advice you’ve ever received? Always looks your best.

55. Trend you would like to see disappear forever? Long socks and shorts (and I'm not even talking about the cute stockings, I'm talking about the actual long songs... like please,buy ankle socks!)

57. How do you know if you’re in love? Honestly, you just know

58. Television show you’ve binged on recently? GREY'S ANATOMY

59. Who do you turn to when you’re sad? Jay (after venting to Penelope)

60. Name one thing you’ve learned the hard way? Not everyone (including certain family members) has you in their best interest.

61. If you could make a documentary about anything what would it be? haha "A day in the life of Penelope"... seriously, I would love to know what she does all day long 

62. What is your Kryptonite? Cute animals, cute babies, a man's forearm hair lol

63. What are you most enchanted by? waterfalls

64. What is your biggest strength? My patience

65. What is your biggest weakness? Jumping to conclusions

68. Most important advice you’d give your future children? Have fun of you, not for anyone else

73. Plans for the weekend? Work, BBQ, probably more work, and (hopefully) studying!

Oh, how I found this post ready and sitting patiently in my drafts. I decided, why not just publish it now?  I mean, there's really no use of letting it just sit there looking pretty and all. But, before I get into it, a huge shoutout to Liz from Lipstick and Confetti because I actually borrowed this tag from her!
I haven't done a beauty-related post in a while, so I thought this would be a good kick in the but for me to really start getting back into a few of my beauty posts! or at least, attempt to start more beauty-related posts... once in a  while. 

1. Do you remember your first makeup item? It was a red lipstick from Clinique! I remember my mother having a lot of Clinique products, and one day I went shopping with her, and found myself selecting a red lipstick. 
2. Describe your perfect mascara. Have you found one that fits your specifications? Oh, YAS. It's the Sky Rise Lengthening Mascara from New York Color. For an inexpensive mascara sold at drug stores, it really does wonders! I love how they lengthen my lashes without clumping effects. Super in love with this mascara! 
3. What kind of coverage do you prefer from foundation?  Uhm, to be honest I really do not mind the coverage of my foundation. As long as it gets the job done of staying on my face and matching my skin colour, I'm happy! 
4. Favourite high end brand?I used to love MAC, but recently I've been on the path to purchasing more animal cruelty free products. I know N.Y.C. mascara (from question #2) is not entirely animal cruelty free, no worries, I'm currently in the process of finding a new mascara. 
5. What domestic brands have you always wanted to try but still haven't?Does the Kylie Lip Kit count? 
6. Favourite drugstore brand? E.L.F. is recently my new favourite drugstore brand -- also animal cruelty free!
7. Do you wear fake eyelashes? NOPE. I tried once, and failed miserably. Plus, the entire process took way too long for me. 
8. Is there any kind of makeup you can't leave the house without?If I had to choose one, I would pick my liquid eyeliner. 
9. What is your most cherished beauty product? Ahh, I really cannot pick one :/ I cherish them all!
10. How often do you shop for makeup? Do you like to pick up an item here and there or get loads of goodies at once? I mean, it really all depends. If I'm running out of foundation, then I would go and pick it up while refraining myself from purchasing other items I don't need (yet). 
11. Do you have a beauty budget or do you spend freely? It can really be both.. like if I'm buying a few items, then I would have a budget in mind. But, that does not necessarily mean I'll stick to that particular budget. 
12. Do you utilize coupons, reward cards and sales when you shop for cosmetics? Coupons? No... I should look into it though..Reward cards? YES. There are always benefits to reward cards, I definitely take advantage. Sale? YESSSSS. Sales is when I take out my credit card, and not look at the total amount I spent! 
13. What type of products do you buy the most? Lipsticks! Obsessed with having reds and pinks! And, lately neural and browns.
14. Is there a brand you absolutely cannot stand? Not really to be honest. 
15. Do you avoid certain ingredients in cosmetics like paragons or sulphate? Nope, never crossed my mind before. 
16. Do you have a favourite place to shop for makeup?I love shopping for makeup at the actual stores. But, because my favourite brand of makeup is no longer sold in Canada, I rely on online shopping. 
17. Do you like trying new skincare products or do you keep a certain routine? I like to keep a routine. But, now and then I will introduce a new product into my routine.
18. Favourite bath and body brand? The Body Shop.
19. If you could only buy from one brand, which brand would you choose? E.L.F.
20. What brand do you think has the best packaging?ooo... I don't know :/ I like them all! 
21. Which celebrity always have great makeup?Kim K. of course. 
22. Do you belong to any online makeup communities?No, I don't
23. 5 favourite beauty gurus? Kandee Johnson Ingrid Nilson Vivianna Does MakeupZoella Karissa Pukas
24. Do you like multifunctional products like lip and cheek stains? They aren't bad products.
25. Are you clumsy when putting on makeup? Not really!
26. Do you use base/primer for the eyes? When using primer for my face, I usually spread some onto of my eyelids.

The New Year Tag!

2016... Oh, how you are coming so much more quicker than I anticipated. As I sit here in front of my laptop, I'm wondering how on Earth I got this far. I try to reflect on 2015, and an explosion of different events play in my mind. 2015 was definitely different, and I'm both nervous and excited to see what 2016 has in store for me.

So, as the past few days I've been playing catch up on reading some of my favourite blogs, I've noticed a few blogger playing around with the New Year tag. And, I thought why not! This would be great form of way of reflecting on 2015. So, without further ado, Here's my take on the New Year tag!

What is one of your favourite moments from last year?

Ooo, I have too many to choose from! I can honestly say that this has been the most adventurous year for me, so choosing one of my favourite moments is definitely hard. But, if I had to choose, I think my favourite memory is definitely my entire summer, from roads trips to beach, to relaxing at home, to spending time with friends and family, I honestly cannot wait for the next summer to come! 

What was one New Year's resolution you accomplished?

I think out of all the goals I created for myself, my blogging goals have been the most successful. I've been blogging more consistently the past month (except for this months), and I'm actually improving when it comes to responding back to comments, and commenting on others blog! 

Three words to describe last year?

Adventurous, Spontaneous, Emotional

Favourite song from last year? 

WILDEST DREAM - Taylor Swift

Something you are looking forward to this coming year?

Both yes and no... hard to explain both the worries and the excitement I have for 2016. 

What did last year teach you?

It might sound like a cliche, but last year taught me who is there for me during times of need.

What was your most worn clothing item of last year?

TIGHTS --> I have these reebok tights that I constantly wore all of last year, it just fits so perfectly and looks great with any shirt I pair them with.

If you had to sum up your year in one word what would it be?

GREAT.

What are you hoping more for of this coming year? 

I am hoping for more positivity in my life - whether it is through my thoughts, actions, and words, but, I also am hoping the same from those around me. I want to have a more positive outlook on life.

What are you hoping for less of this year?

NEGATIVITY and DRAMA.

What is your upcoming resolution for the New Year?

I have a few a lot. I'm thinking of making an entire post devoted to resolutions in January! So, stick around for that!

Hi, friends and newcomers! Today, surprisingly, I made another vlog! I didn't know if I would have the time, or just the confidence to make one, but ever since I made my first vlog the other day showing you what was inside my bag, I thought it was actually fun. SO, today, I decided to take theis vlog thing more seriously by using a better quality camera, and, this time, I uploaded it on YouTube! I would have uploaded it up on vimeo but, the file was too big.

Since the start of 2014, I have:

• Gotten a new piercing. I actually got my cartilage pierced in the summer!
• Dyed my hair. Got ombre just a week ago!
• End a relationship. Well, I ended a friendship... that should count.
• Started a new relationship. Yup, I made some really great friends this year.
• Been on a long car journey.  
• Passed an exam. Of course! Failing is no option for me.
• Cried on someone's shoulder.
• Had a massive fight with a boyfriend/girlfriend.
• Received flowers. 
• Had a Valentine.
• Written a letter using pen and paper. 
• Gone to see a therapist.

• Cried as a result of exam stress. Stress of exam is actually exhausting.

• Cried over a film. I'm so emotional, I'll cry over every film!
